Trip Planner: Europe / Belgium / Flanders / East Flanders Province / Ghent / Museum Voor Schone Kunsten
Head to Museum Voor Schone Kunsten to see its extensive collection of Flemish art from the Middle Ages to the first half of the 20th century. The building was designed by Charles van Rysselberghe in the early 20th century and houses not only works from the Southern Netherlands, but also paintings from other European countries. Gallery rooms are designed to accommodate large groups, while the benches give you a place to sit and contemplate the artwork. You'll find information cards in English inside each room that give details and background about the paintings. For more insight into the work displayed, rent an audio guide or join a guided tour. You can purchase tickets at the reception desk upon your arrival, or use the Citycard Gent to gain access. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Museum Voor Schone Kunsten and many more Ghent attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Ghent holiday maker app.

Brilliant experience. We loved it's eclectic mix and the rooms that showed things like portraits through the ages! Nice bar at the bottom too, although they adhere to strict kitchen opening times. So if you want to eat plan that into your itinerary!
Staff were friendly! But the art wasn’t to my taste! Some of the older more classical parts where okay but the more modern installations weren’t very good! The best part was the draw your own kids section!
