Mount Brandaris, Washington-Slagbaai National Park

#2 of 7 in Parks in Washington-Slagbaai National Park
Mountain · Hidden Gem · Nature / Park
At 241 m (791 ft), Mount Brandaris stands as the highest peak on the island, a 100 million-year-old product of volcanic activity. Climb up to the top amidst a landscape of deserts, cacti, and dry forests as you watch for iguanas, lizards or bright pink flamingos. Because of the region's hot, arid climate, carry water and food with you and wear sturdy hiking boots to handle the rocky terrain. Although sometimes intense, the hike rewards you with a stunning vista of the ocean and island.
