The Fringe Club is a not-for-profit arts organisation. Its mission is to help emergent artists, promote Hong Kong artists abroad through cultural exchange and overseas touring, and conserve and develop Hong Kong cultural heritage.

It provides rent-free contemporary arts space for exhibitions and performances. It is located in 2 Lower Albert Road, Central District. It is housed in a Grade-I heritage building, the old Dairy farm cold storage depot, built circa 1892 in a late Victorian eclectic style. The facade of this building is distinguished by its "blood and bandages" brickwork.

  • Afternoon visits there were quiet and productive given the way the seating was laid out. Reasonable food items, good coffee and good service. Great space, and nicely laid out.  more »
  • Found "The Vault" cafe, downstairs from the Fringe Club, by error. Free good wifi with no time restrictions. Saturday Breakfast is great! Coffee is good and the staff are very friendly and pleasant.  more »

  • Really nice food here and the staff are smiling and helpful. They have local artist paintings and art on the walls. Good if you like a funky bohemian vibe.
  • The Edwardian gem houses one of the Hong Kong's most important alternative performance and exhibition spaces. Built originally as a dairy in 1913. It is delightful example of the blood-and-bandage style- alternating bands of white band aid and red brick.
