Stadium lights shine down on the bright green turf of Happy Valley Racecourse, where thoroughbred horses zoom around the track and crowds cheer their favorites. Opened in 1845, the racetrack can seat up to 55,000 spectators in its seven-storey stands. The course was originally built for British horse racing fans residing in Hong Kong, but has since expanded to accommodate football, hockey, and rugby. The racetrack also houses a museum, with an onsite theater and souvenir shop. Plan to see Happy Valley Racecourse and other attractions that appeal to you using our Hong Kong sightseeing planner.
