The Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre (Chinese: 香港視覺藝術中心) is located in Hong Kong Park, at 7A Kennedy Road above Central, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. It was opened by Leung Ding-Bong, then chairman of the Urban Council, in 1992.

The centre encourages local art creation. It was restructured from an early 20th-century building called Cassels Block, a former barracks for married British officers of Victoria Barracks. It currently provides an area and facilities for local artists and includes modern artefacts and sculptures.

The historic building is listed as a Grade II historic building.

  • A beautiful and historical building at the top of HK Park. Friendly n helpful staff. Free short (~20 mins) Art/ architecture or the like movies at lunch time every day. No reservation needed for lunch time movies.
  • There's a small gallery at the entrance of the building. There doesn't seem to be any permanent exhibition. What you see is mainly work from students. Other than the gallery you won't find anything else to see. This is mainly a learning institution. They will let you walk around and admire the architecture. If I were you I would skip this stop. Instead look at the other attractions in the park like The Tea Ware Museum, the Aviary or the Greenhouse.
