Opened in 1984, Lantau Trail covers a distance of 70 km (43 mi) and is sectioned off into 12 manageable routes. For magnificent views, follow the trail to Lantau Peak, the second highest summit in Hong Kong. This is not a challenge to be taken lightly: assess the fitness levels and walking ability of those in your group before setting off. Challenging trail, especially due to the storm that we experienced. But stunning view and revolving moment once you have reached the Lantau Peak. I absolutely recommend this trail!
Great trail for all levels of hikers! Has a lot of ups and downs, with some intense incline but nothing overly difficult technique-wise. Has some of the best views of any trail in Hong Kong, save maybe Sai Kung. Check it out!
