  • The Sha Tin Town Hall is an important centre for theatre, musical performances and art shows in the New Territories. It is a fair size complex with an auditorium, theatre hall and gallery exhibition space. There is also an interesting City Art Square outside the Town Hall grounds where you can view 16 large contemporary sculptures. Further, the large Sha Tin Park is just beside the Town Hall, offering more forms of outdoor leisure and recreation in the area. You can reach the Sha Tain Town Hall by MTR exiting the Sha Tin Station and walking directly through the New Town Plaza shopping mall. There is also a large bus terminal under the mall as well, connecting the mall and Town Hall to other areas in Kowloon and New Territories.
  • They seem to feel insecure about their soap bottles in the toilets getting stolen. For good measure they've written their name on them in case anyone gets any ideas. Just remember, cleanliness is next to godliness. (And the gods may always be watching. Long ago a woman and child tried to steal soap from the town of Sha Tin. They were paralysed and placed on the nearby top of a mountain as a public warning to all. ;])
