#4 of 31 in Parks in Macau
Stroll through Camoes Garden and Grotto for some peace and quiet away from the busy streets. One of the oldest parks in Macau, this site is dedicated to a renowned Portuguese poet, carrying his surname and displaying his bust underneath a rocky arch. Enjoy a book or have a picnic within the lush greenery, observe the locals going about their business,  or play chess with friends. Take note of the bronze statue symbolizing the friendly relations between China and Portugal and pay your respects at the old cemetery, filled with headstones marking the graves of foreign merchants and missionaries who made Macau their home. • The works of the Portuguese poet Mes (Luís Vaz de Camões) Famous, "The Soul of Portugal", were originally connected with the history of the Macao. 16 Since I realized the history of the Macao, I have not forgotten the footprints left by this poet in the Macao Gate, and in this hour and a few hours, I felt the state of mind of the poets exiled to the Macao, and manipulation made him unhappy and did not abandon himself, and finally wrote the greatest poem in the history of Portuguese literature. I, my, should we continue to hold on to my dreams?
