#4 of 35 in Parks in Macau
Stroll through Camoes Garden and Grotto for some peace and quiet away from the busy streets. One of the oldest parks in Macau, this site is dedicated to a renowned Portuguese poet, carrying his surname and displaying his bust underneath a rocky arch. Enjoy a book or have a picnic within the lush greenery, observe the locals going about their business,  or play chess with friends. Take note of the bronze statue symbolizing the friendly relations between China and Portugal and pay your respects at the old cemetery, filled with headstones marking the graves of foreign merchants and missionaries who made Macau their home.
