Statue of Guan Yin, Macau

3.5
#7 of 38 in Museums in Macau
Emerging from a lotus-shaped dome housing a small ecumenical center, Statue of Guan Yin is dedicated to the Buddhist goddess of mercy. The bronze statue glimmers in the sunlight unsheltered, rising to a height of 20 m (65 ft) at the edge of the harbor, oddly facing away from the sea, unlike other statues dedicated to Kun Iam. Inside the lotus dome is a small visitor center, where you can read up on Buddhism and take a few pamphlets home. • Peaceful place, nice walk with family and friends. Helps relieve stress
  • Gobsmacked to see the most beautiful stunning and relaxing experience at this iconic venue. In addition to soother your mind and heart, they offer free calligraphy session and make a water offering to Guanyin to be more involved in the culture. Definitely worth visiting and FYI, you will need to make a booking reservation as they only allow certain amount of people due to the temple regulations.
