Meet the one priest who lives and serves at Monastery of Na’akuto La’ab--a dwelling tucked away in a massive cave. Talk about the monastery's history, and peruse the old artifacts and manuscripts. Tour the small site to see centuries-old hand-painted frescoes, and collect holy water dripping down the side of the cave. Afterwards, climb the cliff that covers the monastery and enjoy a spectacular view of the open landscape. Wear proper footwear since the hiking trail can be slippery and difficult to maneuver.     This monastery is just off the road from the airport. I was taken there as a fill in for time. Really I did not find it worthwhile.  more »
