  • Large Nature preserve 10 miles south of Arles on the eastern fringe of the Camargue. Nice park walk trail circles wetlands for about 3km. Today it was mostly dry, a seasonal transition, and there...  more »
  • In August the main part of the reserve is largely dry and there isn’t much to see. We arrived at 9:30am and joined a guided visit to part of the reserve not generally open. Just us, a French lady...  more »

  • I'm sorry to have to advise against this place for what has been our experience. There is a possibility to take a two-hour carriage ride but there are only two scheduled departures. The same goes for the tour of the park with the guide who has only two scheduled departures. The guides told us that they only speak French and if you miss these scheduled departures (like us) you will still have the walking tour in the trails allowed for the price of 3rd cad. These routes are not kept well.... there are grasses that cover the trail and in some parts make it difficult for children to pass. Educational games dedicated to children along the way are kept badly. In many cases broken or covered with grass or full of wasps and unreachable. The only animals you can see in abundance are mosquitoes. Protect yourself well because they attack you in swarms. If you want the map with the directions of the green route most designed for children you have to pay 3 euros, for the other routes there is no map. We have made all those available and there is only one shed where you can observe birds in a way that is appropriate for this type of park even if the animals are very far away. I would like to recommend alternatively the ornithological park near Sainte Marie sur mer which compared to the walking routes you can do on your own is 100 times better There are a lot of animals, including pink flamingos, that you can also see very closely. All other experience.

  • Pleasant horse-drawn carriage ride with guides who know how to interest us in our environment... Good little food on site... and trails in the great marsh... A day with our teenage children who enjoyed this beautiful place just as much as we did
