Vraiment extraordinaire grosse dose d'adrénaline garantie. Formation et encadrement assurés par Jef parfaits. Seul bémol je n'ai qu'une hâte.... recommencer !!!! more »Really amazing big dose of adrenaline guaranteed. Training and supervision provided by Jef perfect. The only downside I don't have that wait to... start again!
Alors voilà, En résumé, un saut en parachute devait clore en apothéose le beau week-end en Provence que j'avais préparé pour l'anniversaire de ma fiancée... Mais voilà, nous n'avons pas sauté pour une... more »So, in summary, a parachute jump was supposed to close on a high note the beautiful weekend in Provence that I had prepared for my fiancee's birthday... But here, we have not jumped for a simple reason and attitude of personal insurance. That's why I attributed the average score, as I can attest to the jump. And less summary: we arrived based on jump one hour before it, super happy because the weather is perfect and the light sublime, a wonderful time to live in perspective (with photos and champagne on arrival). In the premises of the club, we check, and on the registration form we need to educate in letters the recipient of the death related to the insurance of the jump, ocazou of course... Boy, it sounds very dangerous! A note at the bottom of the sheet invites us black and orange (the sign-up sheet is orange) to take knowledge of the insurance conditions... And it's in my head tilt, with several mortgages on the back, and knowing that air sports are excluded from the terms of warranty (I was pilot of glider with several hundred hours of flight), I inquire with the 2 club Secretaries (not employed by VerticalWind) for the proposed insurance conditions, because of better coverage options are possible. Surprise! I'll be the first person to ask such a question, and they ignore the answer merely respond quite unpleasantly that there is no risk... I point out the inconsistency of such point. Should we fill out a card informing the recipient of death insurance for: including an air baptism flight? No. A flight in a glider? No. A helicopter flight? No. A balloon flight? No. A parachute jump? Yes! They kick into touch, our referring on Jeff, busy to support other customers of VerticalWind and had not only to do... But it's absolutely safe we says Jeff, our instructor, 700000 tandem jumps and no deaths. If he says it it must be true... But the registration form, orange (the color of an alert, incidentally), is not really going in this direction. We waited over 2 hours on the spot; discuss all the 40 minutes a few moments with Jeff, busy making his jumps. We peeled on their computer the 70 pages of documents of the FFP (French Federation of parachuting) as if it was up to us to do... Then the death cover, it is 15000 euros, or just enough to face the funeral and deal with the most urgent in the days following the death of a person in full activity. And impossible (!) to have any information on optional insurance yet listed on their information sheet (and I would have paid willingly) while these are professionals. Insurance related to very high end card that was used to pay in advance for these benefits, do not cover this type of activity. We therefore have not jumped, it is disproportionate to run a risk, even very low, a major heritage disaster for a simple leisure activity is purposeful. I called the following days the FFP who well confirmed the possibility to take out supplementary insurance (up to the maximum of 150000 euros of capital) on-site, everything is available online for the clubs. In the end, we were partially reimbursed, VerticalWind having remembered 100 euro deposit by not made jump or 200 euros in total... While there has not been such commercial harm seen the world to blow. And on paper, VerticalWind was entitled to keep all of the money paid in advance. For your information, every Skydive for a licensee costs from 20 to 37 euros about (according to the number of paid in advance). Jeff's attitude was quite correct, I'm and I'm outraged by the insurance conditions of the FFP, and let the reader conclude commercial terms of VerticalWind.
