Canal du Nivernais, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte

Canal du Nivernais links the Loire basin with the Seine basin following the course of the river Yonne in a south to north direction. The canal is 180 km (110 mi) long and comprised of 110 locks. It is fed at Port Brulé by a feeder canal from the Pannecière reservoir. It is regularly fed by the Yonne River and southwards by the Aron River.
