Built in 1857, Phare de la Pietra is an operational lighthouse built atop a square white masonry tower with a gallery and a green lantern. The land is almost an island surrounded by the Mediterranean and is connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus. From the top you can see Monticello, the port, and Santa Reparata di Balagna. • Good views all around. A good destination for a run or walk. Apart from vistas, nothing really there other than the light house once you get there.
  • Lovely place! Great to visit before you get on the boats to the mainland. Be sure to also walk down the path to the ruin of the small chapel. There's a train that will take you up from the town center if you cannot walk up to the lighthouse.
