Chateau St Jacques d’Albas
Graham NUTTER - welcome you to Chateau St. Jacques d'Albas, a quality domain in the Minervois, Languedoc, Southern France.Put Chateau St Jacques d’Albas at the forefront of your travel plans using our Carcassonne driving holiday planner.
Imbued with history from Roman times, the 13th Century Cathar religious movement and St Jacques de Compostelle pilgrimages, the domain has been producing award winning red & rosé Minervois AOC wines since 2001.
The Minervois, sandwiched between the Montagne Noire hills and the Canal du Midi, a wine region with a long history, is being revived under the influx of non-traditional approaches to viniculture with new winemakers who recognise the wine-making reputation of the region.
We hope you become a fan!

Gorgeous vineyard in a beautiful setting. Had such a relaxing weekend here drinking excellent wine, enjoying the swimming pool and soaking up the amazing scenery. The accommodation had the perfect mix of rustic charm with a sleek, modern finish. Charlotte, who did the wine tastings and tour was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and made sure our glass was always full! I will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.

I've visited St Jacques a few times and on every occasion it has been nothing short of wonderful - beautiful location, welcoming hosts and lovely accommodation. The vineyard itself is stunning, it's great to spend an afternoon wandering around the vines and finishing it off with a wine tasting from the extremely knowledgeable team. The gites themselves are homely and modern, everything you could need is provided. Sitting out on the terrace with a BBQ and a glass of the vineyard's wine is a great end to the day! Whilst the local area is quiet, don't let this put you off as there's many beautiful towns within a short drive (or bike ride!) all with fabulous restaurants and loads of history! I can't wait for my next visit!
