There are buildings that were not destroyed in the war and later ones that are in harmony with the whole. It is a very extensive port for walking, there are areas of cafes and restaurants, artisan stalls, boarding area to promenades and in the center a large mirror edgy to shelter from the rain that reflects the dozens of people passing by. Very and very interesting, one of the nerve centers of Marseille, unmissable.
Juste un grand port Français, mais sans plus mais bien entendu impossible de passer à Marseille sans aller sur le port. Evidement beaucoup de monde un week end de juillet more »Just a big French port, but nothing more but of course impossible to pass to Marseille without going on the port. Obviously a lot of people on a Weekend in July
I think the Old Port has lots of charm, and it's definitely full of a wide variety of gastronomic options. Looking at the hundreds of boats "parked" nearby and smelling the sea, all great things. However, I do believe Marseille has other overlooked better areas. Moving away from the Old Port along the Promenade will get you to much nicer places.
Beautiful place with great ambience, there are nice activities and cool places to take photos! It has many attractions and is perfect for spending an evening in Marseille. I recommend.
