Historic Site · Landmark
An ancient medieval fortress and prison, Conciergerie features remarkable medieval royal architecture. This was the site of Marie Antoinette's imprisonment in the period leading up to her execution in 1793. Don't miss the clock tower, which is visible from the street and was cleaned in 2013: it is the oldest clock tower in Paris. • Amazing exhibition, loved every piece of it. A must see if you are a history fan. Everything explained in French, mainly in English too, some of them even in German. To rent an iPad for guided tour available on other languages as well, and not wasted money at all. Look around and have fun! :)
  • Amazing experiences. Loved to learn more about the French Revolution history and see how this place was transformed during different centuries. Worth a visit.
