A theme park focused on space and our conquests in it, Cite de l'espace is an immensely popular museum filled with interactive exhibits for the whole family. Children and space enthusiasts enjoy the full-scale models, including the 55 m (180 ft) Ariane 5 rocket, the Mir space station, and the Soyuz modules. A control room mock-up allows you to prepare a rocket for launch, assisting with its flight plan and then placing a satellite into orbit. Be sure to visit the Australia building, with its 300-seat IMAX cinema and a 280-seat planetarium equipped with a hemispherical 600 sq m (6,458 sq ft) screen. While due to COVID-19 there are some limitations in the exhibit, it is still a great place to see when in Toulouse - in fact it belongs to the top 5 - and it is also worthwhile for adults unless you..... more »

It's a nice visit all above if you come with children. Some activities are closed due to the Covid. Would be interesting to reduce the price of the ticket for that. Kind staff in everywhere. more »

It is a very nice open-air museum, in which the most of objects and attractions are interactive, which makes it much more interesting and funny. I would say it is very didactic (ideal for children as well), so everyone can enjoy. The have a small cinema, which is nice, and also an exposition area (I didn't go, but people say it is very very interesting the expositions there). I spent 3 hours there, but could be 5 if I would like to see EVERYTHING. Nice and different museum, I recommend it :)

I was here on a glorious summer evening and had an amazing time. Even the first simple "infinity walk" showing where we are at different resolutions - 1m to 10^13m showing the network shapes of galaxy clusters. The highlight of the evening was the Mir space station. It is incredible to think that these linked pieces of reinforced "tin can" were the home to human beings with nothing more than a couple of centimetres between your oxygen supply and empty space. Absolutely fascinating. We didn't even find the time to explore inside the main building.
