Established in 1978, River Gambia National Park is made up of five islands encompassing 585 hectares (1,450 acres) of forests, swamps, and savannahs. Thanks to the Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Project, which has been working in the park since 1979, these islands are home to dozens of chimpanzees. In addition to the primates, you will also see tropical vegetation, reptiles, and birds during your guided tour of this lush attraction.
