  • This is a very well done museum. The people there are helpful and informative. The exhibits, especially the Discovery (kids), local wildlife, and temporary optical illusion were great. It has some great touches in the kids area that my kids (6&9) enjoyed. It was fun looking at the animals and insects on Crete and crossing off what we had seen.
  • The best natural museum I've been to. It's managed by the University of Crete, the staff working there are very pleasant and the design is amazing. They have a huge variety of exhibits, including plants and animals of Crete and Greece in general. They have activities for children and documentaries playing and earthquake simulation. Honestly if it was a little cheaper I'd visit it twice to explore it in my own time.
