One of the largest mosques on the continent, Conakry Grand Mosque resulted from a collaboration between the first president of the country and a Saudi Arabian king. The 1982 mosque features four slender minarets and can accommodate 12,500 visitors inside, plus another 12,500 on the esplanade.   • it is a big mosque that is very busy with locals, as most of them are muslims. To get there ask for a taxi at your hotel front desk.  more »
