It's beautiful to see, and besides, you have to go because it's part of the culture of the city.
חנות עתיקות קסומה בשוק הפשפשים. מקום מקסים, מיוחד מאוד, שווה ביקור. בחנות מנורות, תחרות וכלי נחושת מיוחדים, בסגנון עתיק. more »A magical antique shop in the flea market. A charming, very special place, worth a visit. In the antique-style lamps, competition and special copper tools.
Massively overrated, most stuff is mass produced trinkets and rugs etc for tourists. There are some more unique traders but those generally felt more tat than quality. The food areas nearby though have a fabulous vibe and seems pretty good food etc. Everyone seemed friendly and the stalls weren't pushy by middle eastern standards.
Jaffa's flea market is wonderful. Small, but packed. Great prices on travel clothes. I was 4 weeks into 9 weeks with just a backpack and I was not prepared for how hot it was. Flea market helped out with that. Plus it is fun to sort through the older antique-ish stuff and hope for great finds - I didn't walk away with anything but I was greatly entertained for quite awhile.
