  • It does not matter if we are not accustomed to travel in both group and bus.... The trip took us to places known and always loved. And the surprise of the Porziuncola always fills the ❤.

  • One of the many suggestive places of Assisi. It is in the modern part of the city, less beautiful than the ancient One, but nevertheless a very touching religious complex with the enormous Renaissance basilica, which includes the very small and austere portiuncola of the Times of St. Francis. You can also visit the Rose Garden, the statue of St. Francis with the turtledoves (which loved our girls) and, if you want, buy something in the store attached.

  • It's interesting that the most beautiful Church in Assisi is not on the hill in the main city. This place is absolutely stunning. The side altars alone are worth the visit, but there's so much to take in here. I truly appreciated all the signs hanging which tell details about the abundant works of art. It's nice to not walk around and guess who the artist was, what's being depicted, etc. Very fine attention to detail that I wish all Churches in Rome had. The signs didn't take away from the focus either.

Meditation: The LOVE of God (Live God’s Commandments) The Beatitudes. Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them, saying: Blessed are the poor in Spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. St. Matthew 5:3-12 B. Pray One Our Father. C. Pray the Act of LOVE My God, I acknowledge Your Eternity LOVE for us. I truly LOVE You above all things; with my true prayer from the soul, repentant and enduring my penance for sins I have committed. In Your greatest LOVE; I live according to Your Commandments, virtue myself to the revelation of Beatitudes, and acts of mercy to all but firm in FAITH. To ask Your forgiveness of my sins and those who had sinned against me. I truly believe in Your Sacrament of Reconciliation through the Body and Blood of Your Beloved Son that redeem us for our salvation in Your Glorious Hope to come. Amen.
