  • Sturinalto Fountain (1285), designed by Jacopo di Grondolo, who was inspired by the Fontana Maggiore in Perugia.
  • It was erected to a design by Jacopo di Grondola in 1285. The architect was inspired by the project from the Fontana Maggiore of Perugia created by Giovanni and Nicola Pisano a decade earlier: the source of a copy resized result in measures, Sturinalto but not in elegant shapes. The work presents an octagonal base with three sloping basins. The youngest of the three is the Corinthian bronze. The fountain was restored in 1351 at the hands of Alberghetto Chiavelli.
