Torre di Arnolfo, Florence

4.4
One of the oldest parts of Palazzo Vecchio, Torre di Arnolfo is a symbol of Florence and one of its most recognizable landmarks. Literally towering over the city, the 95 m (311 ft) clock tower dates back to the early 14th century, when it was designed by Arnolfo di Cambio as the seat of the city council. If you're physically fit, climb the top of the tower for unobstructed views of the Duomo and the rest of Florence. Be prepared to wait in a long queue.
