Castello Aragonese Otranto is a medieval castle dating from 474 BCE, standing surrounded by water on a volcanic rock. A stone bridge connects the site to the main island. You enter through a long tunnel, which also holds a small chapel. There is an elevator to the top of the castle if you don’t want to walk. The view from the top is great for photos.   • The Majestic castle of Otranto is the symbol of the town; it was built at the end of the XV century and it has been renovated over the centuries. Today, after an impressive renovation, the castle houses cultural events; exhibitions and an archeological museum.
  • Beautiful place. A bit touristic but with the count of restaurants and shops closeby it diffuses nicely.
