Completed in 1348 by the Siena's medieval rulers, Torre del Mangia is a symbol of the city at the Palazzo Pubblico. Marvel at the 88 m (289 ft) tall tower, a well-preserved example of Italian Gothic and secular architecture. You can climb 400 steps to the top of the structure for views of the city and Tuscan countryside. The staircase may be a challenge for people with mobility, cardiovascular, or claustrophobia issues.
