  • I'm not an art lover but even I managed to appreciate a lot of this collection. It's an extraordinary and eclectic mix of just about everything you can imagine. I had to explain a fair amount of anato...  more »
  • It's not a cheap museum, but if you like modern art, it's a landmark without a doubt. The building, and especially its garden are pleasant to tour, and the whole exhibition is designed to enjoy in a relaxed way. It has paintings by artists such as Picasso, Dalí, Pollock, Kandisky, Miró, Magritte... among others, but I was especially fascinated by the personal and family history of this innovative patron, who one day fell in love with this beautiful city and decided to break with his former life, and settle in it without further ado. The museum is a jewel, located between the canals, in an area where you can breathe a special calm.

  • Such an inspiring person - such a beautiful place and a great legacy! The museum and life story of Peggy Guggenheim are highly unusual and interesting (happy to recommend biographies in the museum shop - available in English, Italian, French and German). The garden is very relaxing place - oasis of greenery and freshness in the busy hot city.
  • Not worth its admission fee. Nice museum with works of huge artists as Miro, Kandinsky, Picasso, Tapies. Unfortunately its more of a checklist of those well-know names than a well curated exhibition. For 5-10 Euros it would be a nice to see place, but 15 Euros is simply too much - even for Venice.
