The Hakone Open-Air Museum Reviews
來到這個地方比較意外的是可以看到畢卡索的一些作品，感覺好像就值回票價了，逛整個園區一圈大概一個小時左右！ more »To this place than unexpected lying to see some of the works of the carcaso, the feeling seems to be worth returning the ticket, strolling the whole circle about a small time!
They have a nice collection of Picasso in addition to outdoor sculptures by French, British and Japanese sculptors. There is even one by an artist from South America. Green grass and mountains give it... more »
What a wonderful experience to walk through the grounds of the open air museum on a perfect winters day. There is something for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest. Children are catered for by having access to two dedicated play areas which are unique. You may not have a positive feeling about every exhibit you observe but overall there is something for everyone. Make sure you go to the too of the tower with the beautiful stained glass interior. Dip your feet in the steaming foot pool and of course there is the Picasso exhibition which is exquisite. There are plenty of places to eat and relax and gift shops aplenty. The museum was my Hakone highlight.
This is a very unique experience in Japan. If you can really appreciate art, then this is the place for you! There is a great open-air walk through a park like atmosphere with tons of artwork to see. For me personally, I am not a huge fan of art. If you feel the same, then I would probably skip this. There is tons of other things to do and see in Japan. This is a great stop for art lovers, but not for everyone.
