  • I stumbled upon this little gem while riding my bike to Katano. I initially went past the telltale shrine gate and turned around to investigate. Little did I know that I arrived at a 1600 year old shrine dedicated to the two main dieties, Orihime and Hikoboshi celebrated by the Tanabata festival celebrated all accross Japan each year. A member of the staff was very helpful with explaining the purpose of the shrine!
  • It is misunderstood as if it is a shrine of Orihime of the Tanabata because the name of the machine thing (and the one) and the main enshrined are the Takhattachi zhihime. However, the original God's body is to receive the Iwakura on the mountaintop, and the ancient Kanako Bi Mountain barrel Katano Mountain (This is MT, Kamiyama).
