On the Hisatsu line, you'll find Kareigawa Station, one of the oldest wooden station buildings in the country, opened in 1903. Surrounded by tall and verdant forests, the small station feels like a relic from a bygone era, with benches and waiting rooms all composed of wood, as they were many years ago, and the interior furnished with early 20th-century pieces.
