    The shrine seems very new and looks nice. When we arrived relatively early in the morning there was nobody there - which I would highly recommend! Not long into our visit a bus of Chinese tourists...  more »

    You can see Kaimon mountain from there. You can also see 3 islands far away (Takeshima, Iojima and Kuroshima) The Iojima is different from the place where USA and Japan fought during 2nd World War...  more »

    A beautiful small shrine with an unusual ritual - it involves balancing traditional cooking pot lids on your head! Surrounded by the sea and rock pools. You can continue on a coastal walk from here. It's a popular shrine in Kagoshima so don't be surprised if tourists suddenly appear in this otherwise sleepy seaside village.
