Head up to Naritasan Park, a green area with plentiful features, located at the back of a hilltop temple. Opened in 1928, the well-maintained park covers an area of 165,000 sq m (1,776,045 sq ft), and its expanse combines both Western and traditionally Japanese features. Dense wooded areas provide ample shade under the multicolored canopy of the leafy trees, while three lakes act as focal points for gentle strolls through the grounds. Stop in the onsite museum of calligraphy for a welcome taste of culture in this scenic oasis. For Naritasan Park and beyond, use our Narita trip planner to get the most from your Narita vacation.

A very very beautiful place. Take the time to walk around, if possible bring your food and enjoy it on a bench or a picnic. There are temples, lakes, flowers, and trails. Definitely worth stopping here, especially since lots of the flights come or go through Narita anyway. Also recommended to walk the streets around it with all their shops and restaurants.

Beautiful place. So pristine and calm. Very well maintained. The scenery is quite breathtaking. Was quite crowded even though we visited in winter but not so crowded as to be annoying. Park is adjoining the Naritasan Temple which is definitely a must visit too.
