  • This sacred place has an old-style, three-tiered torii in front of the sacred grounds. Worship probably started here about 2,000 years ago. There's a good teahouse nearby. For details, get a copy of.....  more »
  • Nice place
  • From the shrine, slowly walking down the street on the side of the mountain, and this takes about 20 minutes. Followed by a very calm on the way too. Mt. Nijo-San in one of the former ISE, views from the ground here is very nice. Can be a very serene feeling. Guests can enjoy a varied landscape throughout the year. Photo is on a winter morning.
