Post stations were built to provide travelers transporting goods across the country with somewhere to stay and rest, and the squat wooden buildings have a pleasing aesthetic, nestled together among the mountainous landscape.     perhaps the expectations were too high. It takes a while to get here by train and bus and once here, the visual is of a historic time but the activities seem very singular in having exterior beauty....  more »

    Overall the day visit was quite pleasant with nice cooling weather. Just too bad numbers of the shop was not open. The Soba noddles and the grilled salt fish was delicious and they have beautiful...  more »

    歴史的ロマンと四季折々の風情がとても楽しめる場所です。 It was a time slip place in Japan's Edo period over 300 years ago. You can enjoy the different seasons of the seasons. Thatched roof is the most characteristic. Please visit once when you visit Japan.

    The Oku lodging in February has a lot of snowfall. As the feet slide, the temperature is low because it is in the mountains. However, there are figures that can only be seen during this period, it is worth seeing.
