  • A great place to walk around and explore. You can see several kinds of buildings, from housing and storage barns, to workshop areas. There are numerous signs and boards explaining what kind of work was done in each place, and what life was like. The price is pretty reasonable, but I do have one complaint. Due to our visiting in winter, more than half of the buildings and paths were closed off, but we still had to pay the full price.
  • Nice glimpse of Japan's lifestyle of old. Especially for those who wants to see bits and pieces of old villages, with slight history / explanation on each houses (like carpentry, silkworm processing etcs). Don't expect some in depth learning or such however. We went in winter so really, great atmosphere and pretty place to take pictures.
