Founded by a painter and developed by a fashion designer, Jardin Majorelle is a 4.8 hectare (12 acre) site in which nature and art intertwine. A striking blue villa sits at the heart of the botanical garden, filled with numerous water features and over 300 plant species from around the world. Developed over a period of 40 years by the painter Jacques Majorelle, and bought in 1980 by designer Yves Saint-Laurent, the garden includes a museum of Islamic art. Un havre de paix. Sans plus ni moins. Je pense que l'âme de Monsieur Saint Laurent est toujours là on s'y sent bien et la multitude de plantes est phénoménale !! A découvrir absolument. more »A safe haven. No more or less. I think the soul of Monsieur Saint Laurent is always there we feel good and the multitude of plants is phenomenal!! To discover absolutely.
Unos jardines maravillosos, muy cuidados las fotografías salen preciosas con esos colores tan bonitos. Merece la pena pasar una mañana. more »Wonderful gardens, very careful photographs come out beautiful with such beautiful colors. It's worth spending a morning.
Absolutely beautiful. Worth a visit. Definitely suggest going early to beat the crowds. Such a serene place is better enjoyed with less people around. We also paid the 30 dirham more to enter the Berber museum and I'm glad we did. This small, but well-executed, museum was a nice way to still get a historical background of Morocco without spending hours in a large museum. (Couldn't take photos in the museum)
I don’t really get what the fuss is about. If you like cacti then you’ll love. It’s a nice enough garden to wander in for 30 minutes... and you will spend 30 minutes lining up to get an over priced ticket. I felt better when I read that proceeds go to a charity that supports cultural development
