Came across the garden by chance and so glad we did. Incredible garden and clearly a labour of love. Amazing panoramic views of the surrounding bays and only 20 minutes from Akaroa. more »

Absolutely stunning!! I actually enjoyed the informality of this place... Adds to the sense of adventure and unexpected delight after you park, and begin exploring. There is a delightful old barn and outdoor table and chair, with tea /coffee and a pitcher of lemon water where you cancan the yourself (with an honesty box for donations) which was very much appreciated. There are fascinating publications in which this garden has been featured available to peruse as you enjoy a beverage. Maps are provided to guide you around the garden, which never cease to delight. Around every corner is another jaw dropping vista or artful sculpture. You are most likely to find the host song what she loves best : gardening. I met both, and they were very friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
