    This was an interesting surprise on the lakeside. There are tours available at feeding time, but even just walking around is pleasant. Great opportunity to see takahe up close and personal. And...  more »

    Amazing!! I truely loved this, we got up close to some blue ducks who were excited to see us.....may have had something to do with the mealworms!😂 Our guide (23rd March) super knowledgeable and had.....  more »

    Fabulous and free!! Very interesting guided tour showing endangered native Birds and their breeding programme, parakeets, ducks and a little owl! Go at feeding time 9.30am in summer. Happens even when raining!

    A really nice parklands sanctuary. The enclosures are scattered around and most of the birds are easy to see. Would make a lovely picnic spot. An easy walk from the conservation office along the lakes edge
