Yokahu Observation Tower, El Yunque National Forest

Must see · Observation Deck · Tourist Spot
Gain a new perspective of the forest on top of Yokahu Observation Tower, a cylindrical viewing tower located in El Yunque National Forest. Climb the 100 steps to the viewing platform at the top of the building to get sweeping views of the trees and hills of the impressive natural surroundings. Constructed in 1963, the tower has a twin elsewhere in the forest, though at a higher elevation and deeper into the park, the second is harder to access and frequently obscured by clouds. Plan my El Yunque National Forest trip by asking Inpirock to come up with tips and suggestions.

  • The views you see from this tower are great. Definitively have your camera out and ready because you can see the forest but if you look farther out you can see the ocean as well its great!  more »

  • This provides a beautiful view! I had a lot of fun with my friends here. There's cute souvenirs at the entrance and it doesn't take much to reach to the top. There's portable bathrooms near the attraction. As well as a little stand that provides drinks and snacks.
  • Great history and there are multiple towers through the national forest. You can take a tour or just drive up yourself and stop at each spot. Very well organized park because they give you maps on where to go and theres a cool small gift shop (they are good priced too compared to other shops in town).
