  • The Colon Square in the city of Mayaguez is very nice, safe, comfortable and excellent to spend some time with friends, family and / or children. At Christmas time it is adorned with Christmas lights and prints, live music, machinas, artisans and food kiosks. In the square you can also enjoy the Spanish architecture of the urban area and the impressive facade of the municipal offices (the municipality) of Mayaguez and one of the best coffee in the west, Friend's Cafe or a rich ice cream from the iconic ice cream parlour Mayaguezana, Rex Cream. Anyway, a nice place to share with family or with friends.

  • I was dissappointed that, after living abroad for years, arrive here and find out they cut off all the trees that used to give it such a nice vibe and shadows. It also made the christmas decorations rather dull, as the trees were used to be all covered in lights The place is secure and family-friendly. A really beautiful plaza nevertheless and has Friend's Cafe, as well some Rex Cream close by for ice creams. There's not really much to do in it other than meet with people for some coffee and relax, so tourists keep in mind that. Nevertheless, many public activities happen there so keep an eye
  • Town hall was decorated beautifully for the holidays, there was live music, rides for the kids and food to buy due to the celebration of the 3 Kings (January 6th). Good security as well.
