Head to the center of the city's historic zone to visit Cathedral of our Lady of Guadaloupe, an early 19th-century Roman Catholic church, dating back more than 300 years. A church of the same name was built in 1670 and demolished in 1835. The tall white neoclassical church today features two three-story towers flanking a central facade. Entrance to the church can be made via a set of tall wooden doors. Step inside to find a colonial and Gothic interior. Eight bays and an apse accompany the tall nave, which features a cross-vaulted ceiling with crystal chandeliers. Our Ponce trip planning app makes visiting Cathedral of our Lady of Guadaloupe and other Ponce attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.
