  Calm and peaceful but the real shock was that something like 118,000 Japanese lost their lives in WWII in the Solomons. Who knew?  more »

  While the US memorial is free to enter and very interesting and well set out, this one costs about $10 aud to enter. I guess I didn't enjoy it because I had a bad attitude about it. The Japanese...  more »

  Another great piece of war history. Very beautifully maintained like all the memorials and some great reading on the plaques. Never knew how many casualties the Japanese suffered while occupying this area until I read the plaques. Great place to reflect.

  Entry fee SID $50 per person Through the village, on top of the hill, this Japanese war memorial exists looking over the now peaceful Iron bottom Sound. It's a place to reflect on peace.
