  • Menu of the day easy to moderate (€9,5). It isn't any wonder but isn't bad: primero, segundo, dessert and drink. Service a little slow but the terrace is great.

  • Bar with live rumbero show. Entertaining and enjoyable. Good Spanish wine in the heart of Barcelona.

  • This place is 5* for the music, Catalan Rumba, and the performance. As far as we know this is the only place in Barcelona where you can go and experience the style of music that's from Barcelona and that has been made famous in the world by the Gypsy Kings. The show is well produced and with a lot of people on the small stage, it's uplifting and happy and they make a big effort to include the audience in the show. Everyone is clapping and cheering and if your'e lucky you'll even be invited to join them on stage! It's 2* for sound quality, this is party because the venue is never full, actually mostly quite empty. This isn't a place where the Catalans go, in fact the style isn't that popular among the locals, it's actually not considered their music but the music of the city's Gypsy population so there is no tradition in going out listening to it. This means it's mostly tourists and other foreigners in the audience. It's 3* for the food and drinks. Nothing special. All-in-all, go here to experience the great an fantastic style of music that originated in the city but don't expect to be surrounded by locals singing and clapping along and don't expect to be swept away by the food - hopefully the performance will do that to you instead.
  • We've been out and about through Germany France, Czech Republic and now in Spain (Catalonia to be precise) and while it's all be fun and filled with a lot of wow moments, there has been nothing comparable to last night and seeing La Rumbeta. That show, has in essence made all of this trip complete. We learned of it on a walking tour and upon our arrival we immediately felt like family. They tell you, we are all now family. The show starts and even the most hardened of travelers will find themselves clapping and moving to the music. The performers love what they do, it's that captivating moment you always longed for where you see an artist performing not for money or to attract members of the opposite sex, they perform out of a love that spreads. And you in the audience begin to smile, and then your hands begin to clap and soon your feet bounce in rhythm. It's a moment in time that can be had no where else. I forgot the price of admission, but whatever it is when you read this, I assure you its worth whatever the price that is. I would pay 80-100 euro for the show alone. And I'd feel as if I got my monies worth. But the fact that while watching the show you get to have a few drinks and then a tray of meat and cheese is placed in front of you is amazing. As its all included. Upon the end of the show you are walked over to a nice restaurant right on the board walk. And then enough food for 3 people and a whole lot of drinks come your way. And all of that is included in the price. So it's a show that is easily worth 3 times what you're paying, followed by drinks and dinner all for one price. Food is good, drinks are good. And the opportunity to see these performers in such an intimate environment is an experience like nothing else. This should be, and will be the best part of many people's visit. Also, the guide although his name eludes me, it was wonderful to be able to walk and talk with him. Such a gentleman and was so helpful in teaching us the history of the music, the history of the people and being nice in a way you think no longer exist. If you read this far, I cannot tell you in any fewer words. Go. To. This. Now.
