Garden Castle Must See
Experience living history on a guided tour of Royal Alcázar of Seville, the oldest royal palace still in use in Europe. Built primarily during the 1300s, this World Heritage–listed site is one of the country’s finest examples of Moorish architecture, featuring a myriad of exquisitely decorated rooms, lavish gardens, paved courtyards, and sparkling ponds. Originally used as a fort, the site was reconstructed and vastly expanded numerous times over the centuries. The upper levels of the palace are still the official Seville residence of Spain’s royal family. When you visit, be sure to check out the room where Christopher Columbus’ journey to the Americas was planned. Advanced tickets are available online. Try to time your trip for one of many musical concerts regularly held in the gardens. • Going to Seville and not visiting the Alcazar is like going to Rome and not seeing the pope. No words to describe the beauty dess place and the richness of Arab culture in the region. Tickets must be purchased in advance not to be queued. If you want to visit the King's room, buy the tickets first. Long before. The only weak point of the visit to the room is that they do not speak of the hitory of the Moors; Speak only of the Spaniards after the reconquest of the region and occupation of the Alcazar.

  • One of the most popular place in Seville. It's definitely a must see while visiting Seville. The beautifully preserved ornate ceilings, Arabic calligraphy on the walls, big courtyards are mesmerizing. You definitely have to spend a quite lot of time in the gardens with hundreds of orange trees and fountains. Keep some time aside as it may take easily 3-4 hours to explore. I recommend book early ticket online but also the queues are not very long if you don't have advance reservation and moves very fast.
  • It’s a beautiful place. The architectural detail was amazing. To the audio tour which is self paced and I highly recommend if you’re a history buff. Had fun finding all the locations the filmed The Games of Thrones series. Guess which house lived here? ;)
