Built in the late 18th century, Botanical Gardens now stands as one of the oldest botanical gardens in the Western Hemisphere. Originally built to provide medicinal herbs and plants to the military, the garden now provides a clean, natural place for gatherings of locals and tourists alike.     Spend a wonderful few hours wandering around these beautiful gardens. upon arrival you have the option to get a guide, which we did. It was well worth it. As we learnt a lot about the local plants...  more »

    I highly recommend stopping here on your St Vincent journey. I also highly recommend grabbing a tour guide as the experience becomes that much better. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the gardens are full of interesting plants. We loved walking around getting to know the local vegetation or those imported from elsewhere. Definitely worth the stop!

    Great tour by the resident guide, i was surprised at the history of the plants and trees. A fair walk from the port but at least we were able to experience a bit of real island life beyond the make believe of the cruise tours. Do not hesitate to visit.
