Experience plants and animals within the city at Botanical Garden and Zoo, a complex spanning 6.7 hectares (16.5 acres) featuring 600 animals from 130 species. Founded in 1960 on the Luchob riverbank, the zoo is the only institution of the kind in the country. Central Asia is represented by brown and black bears, Bactrian camel, wolves, and jackals. You'll also find lions, snow leopards, and jaguars here, as well as an indoor reptile section.
