Originally constructed in 1214, the church underwent several modifications in the following 400 years, eventually converting from a Catholic venue to Protestant one. Nice location. Lovely coffee and my wife and I really enjoyed the apple pie. The other cakes and pastries on sale looked very appealing too, but we couldn't resist the pie. Delicious! This is a busy place. We visited in the late afternoon and there were still queues for seating, especially in the outdoor entrance courtyard area. Well worth a visit.
Amazing cathedral in the center of the city with a free audio cuide to know the history. It is very cheap (12€) and you can use your student card to get a discount.The Oude Kerk caught the corner of my eye during a wander through the city. At first, I was a little taken aback by the red light windows located so close to the church.
