Must see · Garden · Art Museum
Constructed by King William of Orange and Mary of England, Paleis Het Loo represents the family residence of a well-known royal line. Originally constructed in the late 17th century, the palace boasts Baroque architecture, extensive grounds, and a spacious garden in the rear. Visit the complex and join a guided tour, which requires a reservation, or simply follow the self-guided tour laid out by the museum's visitor guide. You'll view many personal articles and decorative items belonging to the House of Orange-Nassau adorning the interior of the buildings--they amount to some 160,000 objects, ranging from paintings and sculptures to personal photographs and clothes. Afterwards, kick back with a drink or a snack at one of the on-site terraced restaurants. • Amazingly beautiful palace. Unfortunately we haven't been inside, but had the opportunity to go up on the roof and see the garden view from the top. And you can also enjoy nature there while walking through some kind of a forest.
  • Beautiful park, palace (the photos are before renovation) and garden. It's almost like a local Versailles. There are walking tours. One for the garden and the other one for the stables. Both are very informative and interesting. It’s recommended to visit the palace inside as of 2021.
