Royal Delft - Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles
Of the 32 earthenware factories established in 17th-century Delft, Royal Delft - Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles is the only one remaining. The facility now houses hundreds of pottery pieces including jars, platters, tulip vases, and architectural tiles. Discover how the firing process works with fascinating presentations and examples, and look for pieces once created for and owned by the royal Dutch family. You can also walk through a replica of Johannes Vermeer's dining room, a revered Delft painter. Audio guides are supplied so you can get every detail of the displays. Before you leave, consider buying your own piece of Delft pottery. Our visit to the Royal Delft factory was fun and informative. I think the factory does a good job of balancing giving you details you need to understand their processes with the need to be efficient with your time. This company has something like a 400 or 500 year history and it is clear that they make great products. It was nice to watch them in action doing real work. They also had quite a nice little museum. We did not take advantage of their little restaurant so I cannot comment on that.

What a beautiful part of the town. The tour was so informative and fascinating. We learned a lot about Delft. During the tour you watch them work up close. Could not believe we were in amongst everything on the factory floor! Enjoyed a lovely lunch in the courtyard and then a wander through⁰ the shop. Was pleasantly surprised that the shop contained Royal Delft for every budget so able to bring a little Dutch home. Thoroughly recommend to everyone and transport was so easy too!
